does the driver disk include other software for the microscope that may require.net framework 2 to run but i am not sure why to would need.net to install a driver it's possible the 32bit version of windows 7 had.net framework 2 or the driver that installs when attached is only 32bit compatible. on the disk do you see any folders listed as 32bit or 64bit with an included.inf file
